Editorial & Publishing Services
Copy/Line Editing
Copy Editing addresses sentence structure, tone of voice, word/language selection, vocabulary, unnecessary words, and readability. Irene provides valuable feedback on plot (fiction) or structure (non-fiction) and highlights any discrepancies or missing information. Grammatical and punctuation errors are corrected.
Developmental Editing
A developmental edit addresses all aspects of plot, structure, and character development. It is an in-depth edit where the editor makes changes directly in the manuscript and oftentimes involves substantial rewriting and rearranging material. While typos and errors will be fixed, they aren’t the main focus of this type of edit.
Proofreading
Proofreading is a service that provides checking for mistakes in grammar, punctuation errors, missing words, wrong words and names and general typos.
A Proofread is usually only for work that has been previously edited. It is the final quality control step before publication, and should not be used in place of a line/copy edit.
Blurb Writing
A blurb is a short and engaging promotional text that serves as your sales pitch. Blurbs can be the defining message that helps your book to stand out. Blurbs have become one of the most important features of marketing your book in the digital era. Irene can compose a new blurb for the jacket of your book or web portal. She can work with an existing blurb draft or create a new one.
Blog Writing
Publishing a blog is a valuable opportunity for you to connect with existing and potential clients. High quality and relevant content is a feature of blog writing that targets your chosen audience. Irene can produce 500-word blog posts for you, saving you precious time.
Writing Workshops

Author Mentoring
The role of the mentor is to support and encourage you on your deeply personal path to becoming a published author. Becoming a published author is not easy and it doesn’t happen quickly. Author mentors and editors are here to help you produce that high quality and very marketable book you have always dreamed of.
Book Concept Development & Marketing
Marketing your book is a significant part of the writing and publishing journey and often begins before the manuscript is completed. Irene can assist you during the writing of your book or can consult with you to develop an initial book concept or basic marketing plan for the launch of your baby.
Book concept development can include market analysis, writing a mission statement, creating a detailed book outline and sales pitch. Book concept development is essential to the success of your book project.
